BRIDGEGATE, BEACHGATE OPTICS = BYE BYE CHRISSIE

Chris Christie, the Soprano-Style Governor of New Jersey has fallen hard in the polls after the Christie family were pictured lounging on a desolate state beach that was closed due to a government shutdown during the kick-off summer July 4th holiday weekend.

“I don’t apologize for it. I don’t back away from it,” Christie said. “Let’s be really clear. That’s our residence and we have a right to be there whenever we want to be there,” regarding the state's home residence at Island Beach State Park that is given to the governor while in office.

Tone-deaf Christie regurgitated excuse after excuse....such as he did not ask for any government services as lifeguards or garbage collection... as Seinfeld says, Yada, Yada, Yada....

Christie claimed the media used images of his family on the empty state beach behind the governor’s house to imply that the Christie family were the only ones on the beach. “I understand it’s a holiday weekend and the news channels don’t have anything else to cover,” he said. Only 11 miles of the state’s 130 miles of coastline were closed due to the shutdown, and the rest of the beaches were “jammed,” he said.

Bull-headed, despite having the worst job approval rating for any governor in any state in more than 20 years (Quinnipiac University survey) - Christie stated, “I think my poll numbers show I don’t care about political optics”. After the Bridgegate scandal in 2013, when Christie’s allies closed four lanes of the George Washington Bridge -- the "optics" destroyed the governor's reputation in the blatant attempt to hurt a Democratic mayor who did not endorse Christie -- the lane closure backfired and really hurt the commuting public on the busiest bridge in America.

It is interesting to watch Governor Christie self-destruct via "OPTICS" -- after all, a picture is worth 1000 tweets.........optics don't lie...
